Keno Tactics That Will Make You Rich

It might not often be thought of as the funnest game in the field of betting, but keno has huge amounts of dedicated enthusiasts. And why not? It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-esque game that’s a breeze to pickup, abundantly available in lots of alternate variations, and one that will yield mega-dollars for people who master its limitless subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basic rules for now.

When describing keno to amateurs, some gambling pros compare it to lotto. This is at least in some measure correct, in that both games are generally numerical. But to take that comparison too far will be to belittle the innumerable unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno users have the ability to pick the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is granted an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to select as many (or as few) numbers as she desires. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a normalpen like you had when you were in grade 3.

Now that you have marked your numbers, carry the game card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The nice person will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t drop this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will collect exactly $.00 for your time spent.

And there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s get on to something a bit more complex, ok?

Now that you’ve picked out your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and see the action happen on a video monitor. This is where the winning numbers appear in lights. If you picked winners, mark your card appropriately. Make sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get up to the keno booth to get your winnings, and then a new drawing will likely start within not too many minutes.

Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to 20 cards. When the max amount of keno games (the same as the number of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your lazy bum and go get your winnings.

Still another choice is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually allows you make number picks for 30 rounds or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to worry about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!

And now you have learned a few required schemes for winning keno. If you are an advanced user, they may seem incredibly obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to bone up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new player, every bit of advice will help make your keno games more fun.
