Keno was created in 200 before Christ by the Chinese military commander, Cheung Leung who utilized this game as a way to finance his declining forces. The metropolis of Cheung was at war, and after some time appeared to be facing national shortage of food with the drastic drop in supplies. Cheung Leung had to come up with a fast fix for the economic adversity and to acquire revenue for his military. He therefore designed the game we now know as keno and it was a fantastic success.

Keno once was well-known as the White Pigeon Game, since the winning numbers were broadcast by pigeons from bigger cities to the lesser villages. The lotto ‘Keno’ was imported to America in the 1800s by Chinese expatriates who headed to the US to jobs. In those times, Keno used one hundred and twenty numbers.

Today, Keno is generally gambled on with 80 numbers in a majority of American brick and mortar casinos along with online casinos. Keno is mainly loved today as a result of the laid back nature of betting the game and the simple fact that there are little expertise required to enjoy Keno. Despite the reality that the chances of getting a win are appalling, there is constantly the hope that you could hit quite large with very little gambling investment.

Keno is played with eighty numbers with 20 numbers picked each round. Gamblers of Keno can select from two to 10 numbers and wager on them, whatever amount they are able to. The payout of Keno is dependent on the bets made and the roll out of matching numbers.

Keno has grown in acceptance in the United States since the close of the 1800’s when the Chinese letters were replaced with more familiar, US numbers. Lotteries weren’t covered under the laws of gambling in Nevada State in 1931. The casinos altered the name of the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ employing the notion that the numbers are horses and you are wanting your horses to come in. When a law passed that taxed off track betting, casinos quickly changed the name to ‘Keno’.
