Keno Methods That Win
by Harper on Mar.07, 2008, under Keno
It won’t usually be considered the best game in the arena of wagering, but keno has massive amounts of fanatical admirers. And so it should! It’s a always exciting lotto-type game that’s simple to learn, abundantly available in loads of alternate formats, and one that will return millions of dollars for gamblers who learn its limitless subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic facts here.
When explaining keno to newbies, some gaming pros compare it to lotto. This is at least nearly correct, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. However, to take that comparison too far will be to belittle the great many unique traits that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the power to pick the numbers for each and every card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the player is given an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as she wants. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your handpicked numbers with a ordinarymarker like you had when you were in third grade.
Now that you’ve selected your numbers, carry the keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The clerk will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will collect exactly $.00 for your actions.
Ok, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let us move to something a little bit more useful, what do you think?
After you’ve checked off your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and see the action happen on a video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers appear in lights. If you have winners, mark your card aptly. Make sure not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get up to the keno booth to collect your winnings, and then a new drawing will probably get going within a few minutes.
Strategy number two: always get back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you don’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 cards. When the max number of games (fitting the number of tickets) is played, you can then get off your numb bum and go redeem your winnings.
Yet an additional alternative is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally lets you make number selection for thirty games or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to worry about getting back in time to retrieve your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
So now you are aware of a number of needed techniques for winning keno. If you are a good keno player, they might seem very obvious. But it will never hurt to brush up on the basic practices, and if you are a newbie player, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno gambling more entertaining.
