Keno Methods That Will Help You Win

by Harper on Dec.31, 2025, under Keno

It will not often be looked at as the most lucrative game in the world of gambling, but keno has tons of steadfast followers. And it should! It’s a regularly exciting lottery-type game that’s a snap to master, abundantly available in lots of different formats, and one that may yield millions for those who master its innumerable subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic facts for now.

When describing keno to newcomers, some betting masters compare it to bingo. This is at least in some ways apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far would be to underestimate the innumerable unique characteristics that make keno so fun. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the power to choose the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is granted an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as he needs. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your chosen numbers with a standardmarker like you had when you were in school.

After you have checked your numbers, carry your card back to the girl at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t lose this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and wants help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will be given exactly $.00 for your efforts.

OK, so there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let us advance to something a little bit more advanced, shall we?

After you’ve checked off your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action unfold on a monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for all to see. If you selected winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You must get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, since a new keno game will most likely start up within a few minutes.

Strategy #2: always go back to the keno booth on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always retain the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 tickets. When the max amount of rounds (fitting the number of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.

Still another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which commonly lets you make number picks for thirty games or more. Golly, you can take vacation to France and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

And now you are aware of a couple necessary techniques for winning keno. If you are an adept player, they may seem very obvious. Still, it doesn’t hurt to study up on the basic practices, and if you are a novice keno player, every little bit of advice will help make your keno playing more exciting.
