It won’t commonly be deemed the best game in the realm of gaming, but keno has massive amounts of zealous supporters. And it should! It’s a consistently entertaining lottery-type game that’s a snap to learn, abundantly available in several assorted styles, and one that can yield mega-dollars for those who master its numerous subtle rules. But let’s begin with the beginner’s rules here.

Do not drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will get exactly $.00 for your efforts.

Ok, there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let us get on to something a bit more useful, yes?

Once you’ve selected your numbers, settle into a comfy keno booth and observe the action happen on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown in lights. If you marked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to drag your feet, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You must get back to the keno stand to get your winnings, and a new keno game will probably begin within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always make it back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you don’t trust yourself to meet that 5 minute margin every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (the same as the number of tickets) is completed, you should then get off your lazy rump and go get your winnings.

Another alternative is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally lets you make number picks for 30 keno games or more.
