Keno Tactics That Make Money

by Harper on Sep.23, 2015, under Keno

It will not generally be considered the most lucrative game in the world of gaming, but keno has millions and millions of passionate fans. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a routinely thrilling lotto-style game that’s a breeze to master, abundantly available in a number of assorted styles, and one that can yield millions for gamblers who master its uncounted subtle nuances. But let’s start with the basic rules for now.

When defining keno to beginners, some gaming pros compare it to lotto. This is at least tolerably correct, in that each game is essentially numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far will be to discount the countless unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Not like bingo, keno players have the freedom to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the player is given an additional level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as she desires. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your selected numbers with a good oldball point pen like you had when you were in grade 3.

Now that you have selected your numbers, carry your game card back to the keno pit manager at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t drop this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your actions.

So, there you have strategy numero uno: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let us go on to something a little bit more useful, what do you think?

Now that you’ve checked off your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action unfold on the video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers appear for all to see. If you have winners, mark your card aptly. Be sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get up to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, as a new keno game will almost certainly start within 5 minutes.

Strategy number 2: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the very same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 cards. When the maximum amount of games (matching the number of tickets) is completed, you will then be able to get off your numb bum and go collect your winnings.

Another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno card, which commonly lets you make number picks for 30 rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to retrieve your winnings. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!

So now you know a couple of required strategies for winning keno. If you are an adept gambler, they may seem to be stupidly obvious. However, it doesn’t hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a beginner gambler, every little bit of direction will help make your keno games more entertaining.
